There Is No Oil On Gran Canaria's Beaches

You've probably read that a passenger ferry crashed into the harbour wall in Las Palmas this week and that the accident caused an oil spill and closed beaches. Relax, the spill was minor and never came anywhere near ANY of Gran Canaria's beaches.

26.04.2017: Gran Canaria will get showers and maybe the odd bit of thunder and lightning over the weekend, but there will be plenty of sunshine in between the clouds.

Taste Meson is our favourite tasting restaurant in Gran Canaria because the food is superb and its wine list is the best on the island (and you get a sunset every day from the terrace).

18.04.2017: Here's the Gran Canaria Info news and gossip round-up for April. Is every word true? Well, we have friends in low places and we do our best...

17.04.2017: Gran Canaria had a hot and sunny Easter with temperatures peaking at over 30ºC on Sunday and today. It looks like summer is well on the way.

07.04.2017: This weekend and the beginning of next week will be calm and sunny in Gran Canaria but there is an outside chance of a spot of real weather towards the middle of Easter week.

Guide To Gran Canaria's 8 Golf Courses

Gran Canaria eight golf courses means that you are never more than a few minutes way from the fairways. This is our guide to each course.

Gran Canaria has eight golf courses is an ideal golfing location all year round although it is unmatched during the European winter.

Meloneras resort is less than 20 years old but it's palm-fringed boulevard, seafront terraces and high-end shops make the smart bit of Maspalomas resort a must-visit spot.

Taste Mesón is a rare restaurant where you get to taste top quality food in an informal setting with gorgeous views. Add to that the 270 wines sold by the glass and this is a Gran Canaria spot you have to try.
