Puerto de Mogán

Puerto de Mogán

There was a mix-up in the planning department when Puerto Mogan got built. Rather than another generic, modern resort, they built an original and rather beautiful marina with charming buildings and bougainvillea arches.

While it's now spread back a long way up the valley from the original marina, "the Venice of Gran Canaria" is still the island's most attractive resort.

With its little sandy beach, dozens of fish restaurants, and more bougainvillea and coconut palm trees than you can shake a selfie stick at, Puerto de Mogán is on every Gran Canaria bucket list.

The Hotel THe Puerto de Mogán pool isn't the biggest or the most spectacular on the island, but it makes the list of best Gran Canaria pools thanks to its views and ocean access.
Puerto de Mogán marina is known as Little Venice because of its gorgeous lanes and canals. It's a must-visit spot in Gran Canaria and here's twenty photos that show you the highlights.
Market days in Puerto de Mogán are Gran Canaria's biggest but if you visit on other days, there's plenty of little shops to explore in the gorgeous lanes behind the marina and the beach.
Puerto de Mogán may be the last stop for most south Gran Canaria buses, but it's really well linked to the other resorts and Las Palmas.
So you've arrived in Puerto Mogán checked in, located the hotel bar and now you want to go out and explore the resort. We've got good news: You've picked a gorgeous spot and it's easy to get to know.
