A high-pressure system over North Africa is stopping any clouds from the North Atlantic from reaching the Canary Islands and there is no sign that this will change over the next few days. Expect sunshine with some high cloud at least until Friday 15.
The north of the island may get some cloud forming during the afternoons, but not enough to keep you off the beaches.
A weak east wind may bring a slight calima over the island on Monday afternoon.
The sea this week starts pretty rough in the north but will calm down after Tuesday. The south coast will be calm all week.
Temperatures will be between 18ºC and 25ºC during the day; Pretty much perfect beach and walking weather.
Not bad for January.
Lex Says: There's a pretty mean-looking low pressure to the west of the Canary Islands at the moment, but it looks like it will go north and miss us completely.
