This is our tenth year coming here for our summer break.
We love the weather, the food, the people and it's so easy to get around the island.
This is us enjoying a fabulous meal out this week :)
For more than ten years we've been coming to Gran Canaria. At least once a year, and if we can twice. We stay at the Riu Don Miguel where it feels like we're at home.
But that feeling we have with all the people on Gran Canaria. Sometimes I say that I think that I was a Canarian in my former life.
In september we'll be at the island again, for three weeks. Lovely. It's just like coming home for us.
We visited gran canaria twenty years ago for the first time, but there were no hotels yet beyond the light house. Six years ago they were building Baobab and we made a reservation, it was not ready in time so they offered us Villa del Conde. Ever since we recommend Maspalomas to everyone who is looking for a great vacation.
Our family visited all the Lopesan hotels now and we visited Baobab twice which we normally never do.
Maspalomas is most certainly one of our favourite destinations.
I have a lot of pictures from Gran Canaria.
My wife and me enjoy our holidays always in february on your wonderful island.
We always stay in Suites Princess in Lago Taurito.
These are always the best two weeks of the whole year! :)
Greetings from Vienna!!
All the Canary Islands are on a yellow alert for heat, the south of Gran Canaria is on an orange alert.

Every tourist coming to Gran Canaria comes within metres of Ojos de Garza beach, but nobody ever visits.
Split in two by a little headland, La Aldea is the west coast's only beach that's accessible by car.
Gran Canaria and especially the southeast coast, is famous for its windsurfing scene. The world's best windsurfers hang out in Pozo Izquierdo and some even live here.
