The terrace of Las Nasas has long been a favourite amongst Canarians heading to Puerto de las Nieves for their weekend seafood feast. They happily queue for the views of the beach and harbour, the authentic PdlN whitewashed look and great seafood.
However, the inside of this long-standing favourite is just as interesting. As well as traditional sailing boats mounted on the walls, it has a huge artwork by local artist Pepe Dámaso; the most famous living Canarian artist. You can't miss the piece as it's made from big circular fish traps called nasas.
Las Nasas fills up fast at the weekends and the terrace is full even on weekdays. To get a seat, be there at 12.30 to 13.00. Any later and you'll be joining the queue.
